Description: | |
This is a swap for tea lovers of all kinds. It is a little more involved than some other tea swaps, so please read the description carefully before signing up. You will have 2 partners. To each one, you will be sending 4 items: This swap is sender´s choice (so you can start assembling your items right away), though it would be nice to check your partners’ profiles for any allergies or strong dislikes. It is categorized as "flat mail" (type 2) because it does not involve any pricey items or great artistry, but please be aware that the envelopes you send may very well not, in fact, be completely flat, so plan on having to use more than one stamp to mail each packet. Please read and follow the following detailed directions. Do not join this swap if you are unable or unwilling to comply, as that would mean disappointing your partner: 1.) Each of the 3 teabags must be individually wrapped. At least one of them must be a black tea or a flavored black tea; the others may be of any variety of tea or tisane. All three should be different. 2.) The recipe must be for a NON-BEVERAGE food item and include tea as a principal flavor ingredient. The recipe must be tried-and-true, which means that you, personally, have made it at least once and it works. Recipes may be handwritten on recipe cards or a normal sheet of paper, printed from a computer, photocopied from a magazine or book, etc. Please indicate the recipe's source, if you know it. What, you don’t have a recipe like that? Well, there is still time to find one and try it out before the send date! Tea-flavored ice cream, tea yogurt, tea chicken, tea soup … the possibilities are endless. Note: You may also include one or more additional tea-related recipes (including beverages), if you have any more to share. This is optional, and extra recipes do not necessarily have to be tried-and-true, but please be clear as to which recipe IS the tried-and-true one. 3.) The card with the quote can be a notecard, postcard, index card, recipe card, etc., plain or decorated. The quote should be about tea or tea drinking, and can be anywhere from one sentence to a paragraph in length. Please include the author´s name and source, if known. 4.) The last item can be anything else related to tea: stickers of cups of tea, a tea-scented sachet, a small item made with tea or teabags, etc. Partners will be assigned on April 22nd and swaps should be mailed soon after that. A minimum rating average of 4.98 is required to participate, and you should have at least five type-2 swaps under your belt. (If your rating is slightly below that and you still want to participate, p.m. me and we can talk.) I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason. I will angel, if necessary. This swap is U.S.-only; if there is interest, I may host an international version at a later date. Have a look at my other current swaps: |
