Description:

Who wants to get a one of a kind fabric postcard? The requirements are easy. You make one and receive one. The fabric postcard needs to measure 4 x 6 inches at the time of mailing. The front can be any design or amount of stitching that you wish to do. The back needs to be a light colored fabric like muslin so that you can easily see the address and information. Please write your partner a cheerful message. Make sure that you write the word postcard on the back. I use a permanent black info pen to write on the back of the ones I send. You can mail these with a 42 cent stamp in the USA. You can put them in an envelope if you want to. I recommend sending them in envelopes. Sometimes the machines at the post office leave black ink on them. Send something you would like to receive. You must have a rating of 4.8 or better to participate. No flakers please. Open to international participants. You can find instructions on my website on how to make these.

Awesome! I love unique postcards. If anyone is interested please also look at my non-paper postcard swap. http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/25493

Two things I would suggest though is #1 remember that international postage isn't 42 cents. and also double check with your post office to see if you need additional postage. I got some fabric postcards in the mail last year that had postage due on them. :( (they were bigger than 4x6 I think.)

If you get me, please send the postcard naked (not in an envelope.)

Have fun!

I have sent many fabric postcards overseas and they cost .94 unless you put them in a clear envelope then add 18 cents more. It all depends on what postal clerk decides to charge you believe me.

Has anyone tried Mod Podging the fabric postcard to give it a finish?

Does anyone happen to have any good links on how to make these? It'd be much appreciated!

Just "Google" it as Fabric postcards.

Pretty pretty Princess -- I 've been making cards like a manic or a week. I listed the steps I use on my blog a couple of posts ago. Go to my profile & click "website" and go down a couple of posts, there are a12 easy steps.
