You will have one partner. Create one mini pocket letter in the appropriate theme. This month's theme - Receiver's Choice. When you sign up for the swap, list 5-10 themes you would like to receive in the comments section of the swap. When partners are assigned, check their listed themes, choose one, and make them a mini pocket letter in that theme. (NOTE -- don't list only difficult themes for your partner to work with. If you want to list a couple of tricky themes just in case your partner wants a challenge, feel free, but most should be easy to accomplish. Regular examples: The color pink, floral, vintage, trees, birds, etc.) Beyond that, create whatever your muse desires! Please don't just stick an image on a blank card and call it good - put love into your work and send your partner something you're proud of. A mini pocket letter is a horizontal strip of three pockets, cut down from a nine-pocket plastic card protector binder sheet. There are oodles of tutorials on YouTube and such - inspiration is always a good thing! Each pocket must have a decorated card in the appropriate theme. The back of the pockets should be filled as well. One pocket should contain a note to your partner, and the remaining two pockets should be filled with goodies for your partner. There are tons of things you could include: stickers, flat embellishments, stamped images, washi tape samples on a playing card, individually sealed tea bags, punchies, die cuts, and so on. The additional goodies do NOT have to be on-theme. (Alternatively, you can make one pocket a shaker pocket if so desired - that just means you'll have to squash your letter into one of the two pockets with the goodies.) You can decorate the outer plastic of the pocket letter (with stickers, washi tape, tying pretty fibers to the holes on the left side, etc) but it is not necessary. This should be mailed flat in a business-size envelope. Taking a bit of a break in hosting this series after this round. If you have any questions, please just ask! |
