Description:

Stitch markers don't weigh very much so I thought it would be fun to have this be international. The colors of the beads on the stitch markers are sender's choice so this is a very quick swap - don't sign up if you can't make the deadline. :-)

Rules:

1) Send a set of 5 handmade stitch markers that include at least one bead in each stitch marker to one partner.

2) You must have a rating of 4.90 or higher.

3) Zero no-sends.

4) You will have at least 5 snail mail swaps completed and rated.

I will be fussy on accepting people into this swap before assigning partners as I've been flaked on myself recently and don't want that to happen to someone else.

Have a grand time and let me know if you need tips on how to make stitch markers, I can send you links. Thanks!

too bad this is knit specific - I am a hooker (crochet person) not a knitter.

Hi PurpleTX -

I don't think this has to be knit specific (I don't have any crochet stitch markers so didn't have one for the picture). I do think, however, if you get a partner who's profile doesn't indicate she/he crochets then you'd probably want to make knitter stitch markers instead.

If I'm thinking about this correctly (remember, I'm not a crocheter), the only real difference between the two is that a knitting stitch marker uses rings (as in the photo) but a crochet stitch marker has to be some kind of clip. That said, please feel free to sign up for the swap, I'd love to have you!

OK - I'll let you talk me into it. I have joined.

I looked & everyone else is a knitter... I will be making knit markers.
I will be trying to learn knit this year (bought a book for my stocking already) & I should be able to use the knit markers, however if my partner was willing to make me crochet markers for two or three of them that would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry to have monopolized the comments so much.

I crochet (and knit) and don't have a single crochet marker! If you get me, PurpleTX, I'd love either type or both! I would do the same if you end up being my pal.
