Newbie friendly AND International!! Oh, and a type 3 - boost those ratings!! For this swap, you will have 2 partners. For each partner you will craft 2 postcards, put them in an envelope and send them off to your partner. You will NOT write on the postcards - these are for your partner to use. Include a note inside the envelope with the swap name and your user ID. Each postcard should be between 3x5 inches and 4x6 inches. You can cut cereal box cardboard (or something similar that is clean!) down the to the size, cover it with paper and decorate one side. You do not need to write anything on the plain side - just decorate one side. Decoration is sender's choice, but don't just slap on a sticker. This is a type 3 swap, "time-intensive craft swap". You can use paints or rubber stamps to decorate, you can cover one side with different types of washi tape, create an illustration of your own - use your imagination, just be sure to be neat and that it will be OK to mail! Make sure any loose bits of paper are secured with tape. If you have a coloring page (like the mandala or adult coloring books) that you have colored, you can use that for your picture. Zentangle? Go for it. :) If you're not super crafty, that's ok! I have no artistic ability, but I enjoy playing around with paper crafts. You will be mailing these 2 postcards in an envelope. You can use a plain envelope or make your own - just be sure the address is clear and has the correct postage. If you are mailing Internationally from the USA, the postage should be $1.15 (or 1 ounce International). It won't require a customs slip - another reason to keep it flat! :) Great chance for everyone to participate! And boost some ratings! Established swappers should have a 4.8 or higher rating - if you have any 1's or 3's w/in the last 6 months, please PM me before hand and explain. I'm allowing unrated swappers in this one, but your profile needs to be well filled out - the rule of thumb is that I should need to scroll down to read it all. List likes, dislikes, favorite crafts, books, music, movies - stuff like that is a good place to start. This swap is NOT profile based, so you can start on it when you sign up. But, it is nice to take a look at your partner's profile to see what they like, since you are sending something that they can use. (For example, I wouldn't appreciate a postcard with owls all over it.) BUT!! For rating purposes, since this is NOT profile based, if you receive 2 hand made postcards, in an envelope with the swap name and ID included, and it is postmarked by the send-by date, you should rate a 5. You can't rate down if you don't like the postcards. If you cannot mail by the mail by date, you need to contact your partner (and me!). Sending by the due date is a big deal here on swap-bot. Questions? Comments? Please ask!! I will check the comments, but if you have a question, you should PM me so I see it faster and can get you a reply. Thanks everyone! Let's have some fun :) |
