What is a Flow-ish journal? It is a book that is loosely bound so the receiver can take the papers/pages out of it and use them in their own projects. The cover is often made from a recycled envelope, the pages are all types of paper ephemera: maps. menus, painted papers, Gelli-printed papers, envelopes, greeting cards, tissue paper, decorative napkins - the things you would use for any paper crafting. Loosely bound can mean attached to the cover with rubber bands or a tied ribbon or yarn. The papers/pages should slide out easily. For this swap, you will use/reuse a 9" x 11.5" (or about that size) envelope. Go wild decorating the cover - paint, inks, stencils and stamping. Add in your papers - folded is okay for this swap. and bind according to instructions above. Need more info? Go to YouTube and look for tutorials from bettsydoodle, Rosemary Morris and Reused Muse. One journal with cover and at least 15 items inside. |
