so glad ur doing this one hun but you need to fix it to say 4 samples instead of 2 . a little confusing !!!!! who ever gets me is going to be happy got like 10 new washi rolls for the holidays

USAFwife 01/ 3/2017 #

Im new to Washi (and still only buying it from Amazon, so it's a bit hit or miss). For a swap, do you send the whole roll? You say 2 samples, so I'm guessing it's not the whole roll, and wondering how you send it off the roll. Thanks.

@USAFwife YOu wrap the washi tape around a playing card, or other card with a plasticy surface so that the person who gets it will be able to use all of the smaple sent.

hope that helps! :)

This is the first swap I've signed up for! I love Washi so this sounds so fun!

This is my first swap and no better way to start than by swapping some washi. My collection has grown and I'd love to share. To clarify.... I understand I will be sending to 2 people, but am I sending each person two or four 18in samples?

TwoTurtles 01/ 4/2017 #

@Meghan0121 - You are sending each person 2 washi samples of 18 inches or more.

I'm so glad to see newbies taken advantage of this swaps to get there ratings going! I've chose 2 samples wrapped around a playing car because most of the time when you do 4 samples you can not punch a whole in the card to put in your planner or journal! I carry mine with me everywhere. You can always add extras as they do help in earning you a heart!

Hmm, I don't have any stray plastic-y playing cards, but if it's ok for the tape to be on anything that would pull back off, I'd like to try this one. Is that ok? I have a few ideas - a Tyvek envelope, the backing from address labels - that I think would work until I can buy some cards for this. Is that ok? I'd like to try this one. :)

@USAFwife works best on a plastic like surface. I have received some on blank tags, it worked on that .

jaimierandolph 01/ 5/2017 #

@USAFwife I'm sure that it will be fine u can take a piece of a cereal box make sure it is covered all the way with packaging tape and that is okay too! Most people will understand this is your first swap.... It doesn't have to be a playing card but if u check at your resale shops I bet they have loads for really cheep.... I got like 1000 for like 25 cents!!!!
