Description:

This was an idea I spotted in an old issue of Somerset Life and thought it would be fun to try here in the group.

Start with a #8 size manila shipping tag (3 1/8" X 6 1/4") and fold up the bottom part (about halfway) to create a pocket. Then have fun creating and decorating!

You can fancy it up with scraps of pretty papers, rubber stamping, stitching, paints/inks. collage, embellishments, etc. The photo is for inspiration only. You do not have to make yours exactly the same. Go with a shabby or vintage look, or go full on Tim Holtz style :) Wherever your creativity takes you.

You will tuck a little goody into the pocket for your partner. This could be some ephemera, an ATC, die cuts, embellishments, journal cards, etc.

Sender's choice, so you can get started any time.

If you want to do this swap, but don't have that size shipping tag, please let me know. I have hundreds, so I'd be more than happy to send a few your way :)

Don't forget to include a note with your swap-bot ID and swap name.

If you have any questions, please PM me or post below.

Happy creating!

OOOOOO! LOVE THIS!

Can we leave it the size it is and add a pocket to the front?

Not this time :) @homeandheart Needs to be a pocket from the tag itself. Maybe we can try that way in a future swap though!

Thank you!! Just wanted to make sure!! I made a practice tag only and it was shorter than the pic. Such a great idea!

I folded mine 1.75" from the bottom. Then I added a scalloped strip going over the top edge, which extends it up and makes it bigger. That's how it looked in the photo to me :) Hope this helps!

Here's a link to another one I made, in case it helps to see up closer :)
