Number of swap partners:3
Description:

I got this idea from a zine. I plan to run this game/swap every month.

Instructions:

  1. Photocopy a stanza of four to five short poetic lines. It could be something that you wrote or your favorite poem.

  2. Cut them apart and shuffle them up in an envelope. Then lay all the pieces out together and organize them into a new poetic form.

  3. Photocopy the poem that you have just created.

  4. Return all of the original pieces to the envelope. Mail the new copied poem and the envelope with the original pieces to your partners.

Each person will have three partners. This is an international swap.

*The idea is that if we do this every month. Then you get more poetry pieces to make longer and bigger poems.

Dear Kimmie--This sounds fun; I'm in! Should we tell our partners the author of the original poem, or is that supposed to be a mystery?

user5486 03/ 8/2007 #

You can say who the original author was.

beckra - actually you probably should say who the original author is, given copyright rules. And it is fair to give credit where credit is due.

Yay, I'm done with mine ... Now I just need my partners. :D

I'm done with mine, too; just waiting to be partnered up! I hope you do this kind of swap each month, Kimmie, as you mention in the description. I'm not sure how successful my new poems are, but I loved doing it....
