Fairy Bower Doll & Matchbox

I like blues (especially dark/cobalt), violet, magenta and silver.

I've done one swap on swap bot, but my partner didn't send her package and didn't rate what I sent her. Oh well... I also did a Sweetpea swap on Flickr. My flickr site is posted on my profile.

i love purple and red (but not necessarily together) or earthy tones of brown and beige and rust. Silver for any metallic parts are preferred but i'm pretty easy. You're the artist, send what you like, this swapping is all about us sharing ourselves.

I love the following combinations: green and pink green and pink and brown or blue and white or dark brown and white (sometimes with red or pink - think cupcake) or blue and brown or white and red (and green) - think of strawbery with cream and I also love surprises when it comes to colours, you don't necessarily need to stick to my colours first swap - i am very exited!

Favorite colors?! I love them all, but for fairies, shades of pinks, yellows and greens. Any color is fine really as I love them all~

I\'m a big fan of pink. For fairies I picture something earthy, but my partner should feel free to choose whatever they want.

This morning I believe I've sent messages to several of you who do not have Swap-bot ratings. For non-rated sign ups I am asking 2 things beyond filling out your profile:

I like deep purple and black. I guess I am into goth type faeries. Are there any sites to get an idea for the dolls. Haven't made a doll in a long time and have never made one this small.

Edit to change the requirement for doll size to \"APPROXIMATELY 3 inches\". I think close is OK -- just keep it small...

I love greens and earth tones, and golds and coppers. But really, I would be happy with anything, so don\'t feel limited!

I also recommend any of the doll making books by Susanna Oroyan. They are wonderful and have beautiful photos of many dolls from different artists.

I have never done a swap-bot swap before, but I saw this one on nervousness and signed up just so I could join it. :-)

I think there are some swap-bot problems today -- I have something strange going on with a file I tried to upload, and there are odd punctuation things. I know you are trying to add your profile and having trouble!

Damn! I did too many swap last month (meaning by the time I got ot rate it, I couldn\'t remember who send what for which) and swore I would not sign up to that many this time around....Well it has not happened!

I read about it yesterday and tried not signing up but then I found myself planning what I can send all evening and couldn\'t go to sleep cause I was already crafting in my mind...

I like all color - just not all together at once - I like it when things stay on a limited color scale with different tints and shades of one color.

I too love green,aqua & pinks...those colors remond me of spring :)

I love blue-violets and aquas and robin\'s egg blue--rose petal pinks and primrose yellows, light corals and chocolate browns...but I\'d really be happy with any colors!

I had my fairy all planned out to be a pretty conventional little earth fairy, with silk leaves for a skirt and silk flowers for her hair. But she took over and some point and decided she wanted to be something else; something much more time consuming to put together! Anyone else being surprised by their creation?

okay - i sent mine, last week, but i'm afraid i forgot to put inside the package who it was from, so Serienova - that package was from me. i was so excited to have finished it and gotten it in the mail. hope you like it. as for having it turn out different from what you thought, well, it's a fairy. once they get their way you never know what will come up!! when i packed her bag (matchbox)- she kept looking through my stuff and picking out more things she wanted. I'm sorry, she's a little bit of a packrat and likes pretty shiny things. so if something goes missing, check her first!! Dianne

Caroline - It was my birthday yesterday, and what a wonderful surprise to have a beautiful spring fairy pop out of her box when I came home...And some terrific things in the matchbox, too! You did such a great job, and I am going to enjoy having her decorate my fireplace mantel. Thank you so much!

sent my art doll fairy today. I wasn't able to use the colors suggested by the notes here, but I wrote a long letter explaining why. I love to make art dolls, but they tend to take on a life of their own, and not follow what I'd like them to be. This one turned into "celebration fairy", as a fairy with a "party in a box". Hope you enjoy her, whoever you are! hee-hee!

I hope to post some pictures of the fairy doll I made later today. My husband borrowed my digital camera so I had to do photos on film! EEEKKK!! So I need to get those developed and put on a disk in order to post.
