Description:

We've all been there. The dreaded job interview. You're nervous and intimidated, and you have to talk about all your previous work while essentially trying to sell yourself to this new employer. Then you have to answer the endless series of mind-numbing questions about yourself. Every now and again, you might get asked a question that catches you off guard. A question that, while totally pointless, makes you think a bit. It may even make you laugh! I've compiled a list of 25 of the most outrageous questions asked at actual job interviews and we're going to put them to the test!

Here's what you do: Gather some paper and a writing instrument, introduce yourself to your partner in the classic interview style (your name, where you're from, what you do for a living, a couple of your hobbies, etc.), and then you're going to answer at LEAST 20 of the 25 listed questions.

The questions are:

  • If you were to get rid of one state in the US, which would it be and why?
  • What do you think about when you're alone in your car?
  • A penguin walks through your door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say, and why is he here?
  • If I came to your house for dinner, what would you cook?
  • Can you say "Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers" and sell a washing machine at the same time?
  • How would people communicate in a perfect world?
  • My wife and I are going on vacation, where would you recommend?
  • How many windows are in New York City?
  • Imagine you're a head chef that has been selected to compete on Iron Chef. How would you prepare your team for the competition?
  • Have you ever stolen a pen from work?
  • Pick two celebrities to be your parents.
  • What kitchen utensil would you be?
  • If you could be anyone else, who would it be?
  • If you could throw a parade of any caliber, what kind of parade would it be?
  • How lucky are you?
  • If you could perform one song on American Idol, what would it be and why?
  • Do you believe in Big Foot?
  • If you were 80 years old, what advice would you give your children?
  • You're a new addition to the crayon box. What color are you and why?
  • If there was a movie produced about your life, who would play you?
  • What is the color of money?
  • What is the last gift you gave someone?
  • Describe the benefits of wearing a seatbelt.
  • Have you ever been on a boat?
  • Mark Cuban walks up to you and says he'll give you 5 million dollars to open a business. What business do you choose to start, and why?

Please remember to put a little detail with your answers! Nobody likes reading one-word replies. You'll have one partner, and there is no page limit or minimum, just be sure to answer 20 of the questions.

This swap will be international because everyone should have to deal with the horrors of the US job interview process. :) I will be checking profiles thoroughly before assigning partners. Any recent 1s or 3s will be checked, and if I feel like you'll flake on my swap, you will not be allowed to join. Newbies are welcome, so long as you have a well filled-out profile. I will gladly angel any of my swaps, but I hope I do not have to!

Hi everyone, I am a nurse with 7 years experience. Now in Toronto and I want to find a job in my field. Are there any special programs in Canada for adaptation of foreign health workers? Really hoping for some advice.

Literally within a week after registering on the website of job agency https://jobssite.ca/ I got a job in a call-center. I am very satisfied with this job, because it is not very difficult and I earn well now. I have a cool team and a great boss. Although many people consider this job temporary, but I would not want to trade it for a friend. I am very glad that I used the services of this agency and found my dream job. So I advise you to look for vacancies there. Good luck :)
