For this swap you'll be creating a flip book for your partner! What's a flip book? For this swap it's some paper, some washi tape, a personal note and lots of embellishments! Here is a youtube tutorial explaining how to create a flip book. I like the tutorials from this youtube user (fitzpaper) because they're not too short, not too long, and the repetitive parts are always on fast-forward! The basics: You'll washi-tape together 4 6"x6" sheets of double-sided paper, embellish the pages with bling, paper, pockets, etc.; include a personal note in one of the pockets; and mail! Hope you'll take a look at the tutorial or some examples on pinterest (type in "penpal flip book") . . . they're so pretty and look like such fun to make! If you find a tutorial you like better, feel free to use a different style so long as you use at least 3 folds of paper. Theme of the flipbook is sender's choice but please avoid religious or gory themes since those seem to be the two most-mentioned dislikes. This will be my first attempt at a flip-book. Whether you're a veteran or a newbie like me, let's have fun using our beautiful papers and embellishments in a fun way! |
