international, open to newbies with a filled out profile.

If you've never seen these before, then you might enjoy this "walk into the past"! These are cute little folded postcards, as you can see. Made of one-sided card stock, then folded, leaving room for the address and stamp, as you can see. The short sides overlap in back, held with a sticker or tape.

You will have two partners. To get an idea of the size, figure that when it's folded, it will be about the size of an envelope, so start with a piece of card stock about 6"x8", or 7"x9". I'm giving three weeks from NOW, so you can get creating right away!

You will make two of these, the same or different, then write a little note about yourself inside, fold it, close it, put a stamp on it, and mail it to your partners.

Easy as pie! (In my years, the only "easy" pie, is in a restaurant!)

Any questions, please just ask, or message me. I hope you have FUN creating these!

(I hope you don't write anything too private, in your folded notes, but you MAY tape the sides closed before mailing, if you want.)

Is this for handmade only, or can we send vintage ones that we may have?

is this just folded in 1/2 to the size of a postcard???? closing on 1 edge?

vintage would be lovely! Your choice!

They are actually folded two times...on one that's about 6" x 8", the bottom folds up about 3 1/2",and the top folds down about 1 1/2", so they can be attached with a sticker or tape.

I also mentioned a card that's about 7" x 9", with the flaps being about the same...3 3/4" x 1 1/2"

Hope that helps.

Just an F.Y.I. The USPS website says these have to be mailed as letters (letter rate stamp). Postcards may not be folded.

That is true Mommyknows, these fold, seal and send types of stationery, are not postcards according to the PO. you do need a 49 cent Stamp, not a 35 cents card. I got a few of these at a yard sale or thrift store and love swapping them.

Thanks so much for that info, I will definitely remember to include it in future swaps!
And you're right-Mommy Knows Best.....coulda been a TV show!

And what a find, AZmom! I wanna be your partner! Hahaha.

For the note inside... must it be handwritten, or can we type it?

gramsbuttonbox 08/ 2/2015 #

Typing is fine, thanks for asking. Others might have wondered, too

Partners have been assigned. Please get your cards written and sent on. Time.

Most important, I hope you had FUN with this!

Several have asked if there will be a repeat of this swap....yes, in a couple weeks, after hopefully all the cards have arrived.

Be sure to rate your partner as soon as your card arrives! Hope you had FUN with this 😛

Thank you for joining my swap!
