Description:

Open to Newbies, this is an international swap.

It's summer, and for many of us, the days are longer, the temps are warmer, the sun shines brighter...

We spend lazy hours at a beach, a pool, taking a hike, or just daydreaming on a lawn chair...

For this swap, let's celebrate that!

You will make two ATCs, and will have two partners, which means that you send one to each partner.

They can be the same, or different, sender's choice.

in case you aren't sure, an ATC is 2.5" x 3.5". you can use whatever you wish, to decorate them, drawing, stamping, painting, etc.

you will have two weeks to complete them, so be sure to get them mailed on time.

Edited due to conversation that follows, and Thank You for helping me to clarify! Please swappers...in ALL your swaps, remember to always include a swap card, with the name of the swap, your swapping id, and the date it was mailed.

Don't risk a lower rating because even if you dropped it in the mailbox on time, maybe the postal person has already been there, and it won't actually go out for days. Give your swap partner something to go on, to give you a higher rating, besides the postmark.

(If you don't know what a swap card is, I'm running a swap for them, open to newbies, you can read about them there...)

Any questions, just ask, or message me.

".. if your partner sends you an ATC, and it is postmarked by the deadline, they earn a "5" rating.""

Using a postmark on a swap is not a reliable way to determine if it was mailed by the send by date.

For example, August 8 is a Saturday and many countries do not have mail picked up, processed, or delivered on weekends.

This means that a swap could be dropped into a mailbox on August 8 but the postmark would not be stamped on it until Monday, August 10.

It would be a shame for the receiving partner to assume it was mailed late based solely on the postmark. And a shame for the sending partner to be rated a 3 unfairly.

That would only require a word of explanation and a look at the calendar. I'm not that critical of any swaps I receive, and hope if someone DOES rate their partner with a 1 or 3, the recipient would tell them it had been a mistake. I would certainly "forgive" if a 1 o r 3 showed up, in one of my swaps, and THAT was the explanation...hope that clears up my own position as a host...

Thanks so much for bringing it up, it IS something to think about.

It's also why I rely on swap cards, telling me what day they mailed it. Thanks for the discussion.

Partners will be assigned soon, please get your swap ready, and yes, please include a Swap Card with it, so we know who it's from, and the date you mailed it!

I. Hope you've had FUN!

ATCs are type 3 swaps, as they take time and commitment to make.
