Let's make a Zentangled Postcard! Take white cardstock, watercolor paper, or similarly thick paper, cut it to a minimum of 4"x6", and zentangle one entire side of the card. The idea is to zentangle the entire area, but if you like to have a border, you can leave 1/4" border around your zentangle, white and uncolored or filled in with black or another color. Incorporate at least one "official" zentangle in your art. Other than that, draw what you feel. Do use at least 5 different zentangle or doodle designs. In other words, don't fill your card with only one zentangle design. You may color your artwork or leave it black and white. Also include your username somewhere on the zentangled side, whether you want to add it to the bottom or "hide" it in your work. If you normally use your real name as a signature in your artwork, you can use it rather than your username. After you have finished your zentangled artwork, flip your postcard over. Put your address in the upper left corner along with your user name and the swap name. Put your partner's address in the center of the card. Finally place a stamp in the upper right corner and mail it off! If you want to add some doodles or zentangles or artwork to the addressed side of the card, feel free to do this. That would make for an even more interesting piece of mail! In the USA, postcard rate is now 35 cents for a postcard that is no larger than 4-1/4"x6". If your postcard is larger, please add the First Class Rate of 49 cents. For any questions or comments, you can post below in the Comments or send me a PM. I'll be happy to clarify anything. If you have any 1s, please be sure to fulfill those previous obligations before joining this swap. I do check participants before making assignments. |
