National Poetry Month - Week 2

April is National Poetry Month. It's time to celebrate our love of the art!

This is the second of a four-week series. The swap will involve two tasks:

1) Go to http://www.poets.org/poetsorg/poems and use the sorting option to look up poems by occasion. Print one you find that resonates with you; add a note explaining what occasion it related to, and why that poem caught your attention.

2) Write your own poem to share using this prompt: Looking at your bookshelves, choose titles from them and assemble them into a poem.

You will send these two items to two people. This is sender's choice! You can get started now and be ready to send once partners are assigned.

No 1 ratings for the last six months. No unresolved 3s (email me if in doubt). Newbies are welcome if they have a filled-out profile. I will check!

Not every poem will "speak" to you! If you receive one poem by a published poet, and one poem written by the swapper, you must rate a 5.
