This swap is for all the local coffee lovers out there! There are so many fantastic independent coffee roasters that are just waiting to be shared with other like-minded coffee drinkers. If you shudder at the thought of drinking coffee that can be bought at a grocery store, this swap is for you! You will send one (1) partner Â¼ lb of your favorite independent coffee. This is senders choice, but please indicate if you would like bean or ground, and if ground, what type. (perk, drip, French press, espresso etc.) Please please PLEASE for the love of Pete, do not send anything that can be bought at the grocery store. (This includes Starbucks bless their hearts) Ok, now for the technical serious stuff: This swap is international and is open to anyone with a rating of 4.7 and higher. Newbies are welcome but please PM before joining. Newbies must also have a completely filled out profile. (If you do not have a filled out profile, you will be banned.) No no-sends or flakers. what is a french press

It's a manual [non-auto drip] coffee maker in which you add the boiled water to the caraffe yourself and strain it through the wire mesh-- google it and you can probably get a better explaination than I can give! haha

the only difference from a normal coffeemaker is that is takes a corser grind; usually indicated on the grinder if you grind your own. Pre-ground/pre-packaged coffee usually is too fine for a french press.

Well, I got my partner her coffee but darn it I did not see she wanted decaff soooo I guess I will have to drink it myself and get her more :)
