Description:

This is a destash kind of swap. First rummage through your paper (I know I have way to much) and find five pages that you would like to receive in the mail.

Second, once you have all five pages craft them into an envelope large enough that it could be sent through the mail system with a single stamp. This means the envelopes must be rectangular, not square. And they must be at least 3.5 inches tall and 5 inches long. But they can be larger if you want to make them larger.

Third, create on the envelope a place for the address. There are several ways of doing this, gesso that area, add a blank label, add an additional piece of light colored paper, anything that makes so that the address can be written in and clearly seen.

Lastly, mail the five envelopes you have made to your partner.

Silly question but what is gesso and how would you use it in this context?

Gesso is a coarse white paint used to prepare a ground on canvases prior to painting...if you painted the address area with gesso, it would be white and have enough "tooth" to write on...

Thank you Gooddog56! Gesso can be found at most stores that sell any kind of art supplies. Depending on how think you paint it on to the paper, the design of the paper behind it can still come through but it dulls it out so that the design does not interfere with the posts ability to read the address.

Thank you! I will look out for it :o)
