I just received my first pocket letter! I found out about it through Instagram and I thought it would be a fun project for the group. A pocket letter basically consists of a 9-pocket plastic sheet (for storing baseball cards, etc), where each pocket is filled with something unique. When filled, fold the pocket letter in thirds, pop it into an envie and send! The theme for this round is: ALL ABOUT ME The tutorial below shows the inventor of pocket letters explaining her concept and how it works: Go to Pinterest and search for pocket letters to see lots of fun examples. There are 9 pockets to be filled--all about you! If you love collecting washi tape, why not send a sample? Do you love tea? How about sending a bag of your favorite tea? Are you a paper lover (as is everyone in the group)? How about some paper backgrounds for ATC's? Are birds one of your favorite things? Why not send a bird tag? Used postage stamps, air mail goodies--anything goes. You get the idea . . . In ONE of the pockets please write a little note explaining why you sent the items you chose to send. Be creative! Since our group is based around a love of paper, lean towards including mostly paper items in the pockets. If you choose to decorate the pockets, don't overdo it--make certain you can see the goodie inside. Decorating the front and back plastic part of the pockets is NOT a requirement. This is NOT meant to be a $$$ swap. . . don't run out and buy things to put in the 9 pockets--you'll already have the things you love! Any questions? Please pm me or leave a comment here. |
