Cozy up with a book - international

i luv this idea for a swap, but the international part makes me leery (i live in canada) and sent a xmas swap package to portugal on dec 15 and they still havent received it, so i might just stick to canada and the us swaps...

I wanted to give everyone a chance to join. That doesn't happen very often as I have sent quite a few pakages over sea and not lost one yet. (Knock on wood) If you do receive a partner who is overseas than maybe you could track your package.

i'm interested in this swap but i have a question first. It concerns the package of chocolate. How big a bag are we talking? Can we request an alternative to that icky brown stuff that most people seem to like for some unknown reason,lol? I don't like chocolate and no one in my house does either. Yes i know, we're weird,lol.

It should just be a small little package. If (for some strange reason :) you don't like choclate you could request something else as long as it is a small treat of some kind.

I have made some changes to the requirements, please check the last paragraph of the swap description.

My favorite books are fantasy (think Lord of the Rings types) and historical fiction. I also like the classics, as long as it's a good read that's not too cheesy or romantic. I have no allergies. Looking forward to this swap!

This sounds like a realy fun swap and I'm thinking of joining, but I'm having trouble with one of the items; 1 scented votive candle? I get the scented part, but what does "votive" mean? I hope someone can help me out here.

Embla, from the google image search I think votile candles are those you can put inside a cup ?

as for books, I'm more into comics books (not magazines) at the moment (garfield, mutts, strangers in paradise), or fiction IT related

For books, I'd love to get any English book (fiction, non-fiction - anything's fine. I love chicklit and comics though, although I don't mind anything I can get!), or a Japanese/French children's storybook or picture book.

For my partner; I don't read romantic books or murder-crimes, but other than that I'll read anything. Lavender really gives med a headache, so I would prefer a candle with an other scent.
