Description: | |
This is a variation on our Found Inspiration swap series. For this swap, you'll need to: a) Get a bag, i.e. a brown paper lunch bag, takeout-size paper bag or quart size plastic bag. b) Put 5 random items in the bag. These items will be the inspiration that your partner will be using. Make sure that the five items are not related (for example, do not send a plastic fork, knife, spoon, a napkin and a paper plate.) c) Place the bag and a note with your name, forum name and swap name in a mailer (like a bubble or padded envelope) and send to your USA partner. d) Be creative -- but don't spend any money for this. You should be able to find five random items. There are to be NO special requests or "don't send me any ... ." posts. Please use common sense/courtesy though. If your partner's profile says, for example, that they are allergic to vanilla, do not send a vanilla-scented candle. The purpose of the swap: Use what you receive in your bag as inspiration for a work -- whatever it is that you do. We have writers of all experience and writing interest areas here. Maybe one item will inspire you; maybe it will be two or more of them; it could even be all five that end up working together for you. Five items will give you options. Optional: If you feel so inclined, you can send your partner a copy of whatever it is you end up creating. This is not, however, a swap requirement. USA. Snail mail. Group membership. If there's a demand (post below) I'll create an international version. |
