Description: | |
As the New Year approaches we all start thinking about resolutions. And there are inevitably the usual suspects: eat better, lose weight, travel, and yes, journaling. So many times I've sat down to journal and in my lack of creativity, just given a detailed account of my day. Boring! So what I propose is this: -buy one full-sized composition notebook. decorate the cover. -write at least 30 journaling prompts (more if you like). these prompts can be anything: a memory you have with your mother, describe the last trip you went on, a regret, list of things you're grateful for, etc. You can even throw in a challenge, like try to compliment two random people, and tell about the experience. please no "what's your favorite color" type questions. -each question should have it's own page so that the recipient can fill it up with their thoughts. -15 of your favorite quotes. these should be one per page. and done in some artistic way. which could be as simple as printing out a quote in a nice font. -take 15 pages and use them however you please: a list of your favorite places, recipes, anecdotes, maybe something you've seen in a magazine that you wanted to share. whatever you want. -take the first page or so and introduce yourself. make sure your screen name and the name of the swap are there. With all of these things completed your partner still has enough pages left over to do self directed journaling. Considering all the elbow grease that's going into the swap, nothing lower than a 4.95 rating, no recent 1's or 3's. No newbies. If you're a newbie and really, really, really want to do this swap, PM me and we can set up a private swap. And because of shipping costs, we're going to keep this local-USA. If any of this is unclear please don't hesitate to message me! |
