Handmade Envelope Swap

For this swap you will make 3 envelopes for 2 partners ( a total of 6 envelopes).

One envelope needs to be big enough to fit a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card (paper will be 8x8 to create this sized envelope).

One envelope needs to be big enough to fit a folded 4x6 stationary page (paper will be 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 to create this sized envelope)

One envelope needs to be big enough to fit a 3x3 notecard (paper will be 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 to create this sized envelope).

You should use heavy-duty cardstock or sturdy calendar pages to create your envelopes. DO NOT use magazine pages as they are too thin and not durable enough. These envelopes need to be strong enough, and of good enough quality, that your partner can use them to mail out. Each envelope needs to be different - do not use the same paper for all three envelopes. You should use paper that has a color, design, pattern or picture. No white envelopes.

The envelopes need to be good quality. Folding a piece of paper in fourths and taping it with washi tape isn't a good quality envelope as that can't be mailed out. If you don't have an envelope maker you can deconstruct a store-bought envelope and use it as a template. It works like a charm. :-) You can also check out Pinterest - there are a ton of templates and instructions on there.

Please put the handmade envelopes in an envelope big enough that you do not have to fold the handmade envelopes to mail them.
