EE: Stencilled Envelope

No artistic skill required - just some time and thought and effort. (";)

Take a mailable size envelope --- handmade or purchased ---- and decorate the front of it with stencilling.

The stencil(s) can be handmade or purchased. And you don't need to purchase stencils to do this - you could cut basic geometric shapes out of cardboard and use them as negative space stencils. Other materials that make inexpensive stencils: paper doily, piece of lace or other open weave fabric, plastic netting (like the bags that onions are often sold in), masking tape, etc.

You may use other media and techniques if you like (but this is not required) to embellish the envelope but the stencilled image(s) must be the main focus.

Put the to and from addresses and the postage on the back of the envelope. Let your stencilled front shine!

Inside, include a note to your partner about one of the following (doesn't have to match your stencilled image):

• What you hear as you are writing the note
• Grocery shopping
• Your favourite pair of shoes
• Trees
• Whistling
