Description:

Urban mailart This is a two part swap:

Part I: Decorate an envelope in an URBAN theme using collage techniques. Part II: Choose at least 12 images along an urban theme to send inside the decorated envelope to your partner.

Images can be from books, magazines, brochures and can be of anything from urban landscapes to people, graffiti, subway maps, taxis, street signs, street markets, etc. - Think things you see in an urban setting but not in a rural or suburban setting. This can include animals - pigeons, wild dogs, rats, etc. Be mindful of your partner's phobias. If they say on their profile that they hate rats, don't send them a pic of a rat.

Minimum image size is 2 inches x 2 inches at the widest points. They can be b&w or color; illustrations or photographs. Do not send printed-at-home graphics or poorly rendered images (blurry, visible pixels, smudges, soiled or other damage).

Envelope size is sender's choice and will be dictated by the size of the images you are sending. Decorate the envelope front and back, adding other media (inks, paints, pencil) as you wish.

REMEMBER, THIS IS A PAPER COLLAGE GROUP.

Create something wonderful. This is a Type 3 swap so there is craftiness involved.

This is sender's choice so you can begin now.

Be sure to include your SB name and the name of the swap so you can get rated.

Have fun!

This swap is borrowed from StephieDee who did a similar swap in the Cut+Paste group but with the theme Nature.

Hi Angie! I want to tell you that I think this is a brilliant swap! I'm really surprised there aren't more people signed up. I mean, who doesn't want to receive a fully decorated envelope in the mail and receive images that can be used in future collages??! Really. This could be done with a multitude of themes. If you continue hosting swaps with this format count me in!
