For this technique swap you will place several drops of several colors of alcohol ink on a craft mat. I have read you can use a sheet of wax paper taped down on your table if you do not have a craft mat. You can use as many colors as you want but I used from 2 to 4 colors. I then squiggled alcohol ink mixatives on several of mine in & around my ink dots. That part is optional. Then you will sprinkle alcohol blending solution all over your ink like a salt or pepper shaker. I have read of people using regular rubbing alcohol for that last step. I know I used it to clean my craft mat when I was done because it is a whole lot cheaper than using blending solution to clean up. If you think your ink is too blotchy, you can add the blending solution to a blending tool & pounce on you cardstock. You will use GLOSSY cardstock & move it around on the ink. I was able to sprinkle on a little more blending solution on areas of the craft mat that still had color on it & picked up more color with my cardstock. Now stamp or collage your ATC making sure plenty of you background shows. Be sure to add this to a sturdy backing. You can use full sheets of glossy cardstock or pieces already cut for your ATCs. One finished ATC to one partner. I would wear rubber gloves for this technique |
