If you're like me, and are learning how to make an ATC (Artist Trading Card), but don't feel comfortable swapping with people who have making these for ages then THIS IS THE SWAP FOR YOU! An ATC must be 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches in size. After that, the only limit is your imagination. This doesn't mean you just slap a few stickers onto a piece of card and say you're done. We need to put some effort and thought into this. The theme for this ATC are the colours YELLOW and/or RED (mainly as a good reason for me to go shopping for some new supplies!). It's up to you if want to choose only one colour, or if you want to get daring and try both colours. This means that most of the card needs to be different shades of yellow and/or red. You can have other colours in there, but these must be the dominant colours. Think summer garden, bright summer clothes, etc. Then let your materials (stickers, fabric, washi tape, fancy paper, watercolours, stamping, etc.) go to work. This swap is open to anyone who is willing to put some time and effort into making an ATC. I know I really enjoyed making my first ATC, but am still really nervous. I'm just really not that artistic and feel intimidated to send my early efforts to someone experienced! If you're in the same boat, please join me. Maybe we'll all find a new craft to be crazy about! New swappers are very welcome. For everyone else, you are more than welcome as long as you have 5 or fewer ATC swaps. A rating of 4.9 is necessary. No 1s in 2014. If you've got any 3s, please send me a message explaining what happened. This swap will take time and effort, so if you're not prepared to commit to it, please don't join. It's just not fair on your partner. That said, I will gladly angel if someone does flake (since I'm quickly becoming an ATC addict!). Rating: as long as you receive an ATC that looks like your partner put time and effort into it, rate a 5. The whole idea is to try out something new, so I can't guarantee that any of us are going to make a masterpiece in one of our very first efforts! |
