Description: | |
Have you ever considered making a zipper pouch for your planner or journal? Not sure how to do it? Are you up for a challenging and creative project? Then this is the swap for you! THIS IS A PROFILE SWAP! More about that later. You will have three partners and you will make each partner one clear plastic zipper pouch insert for a planner. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of instructions online, so you will have to rely on your creativity and ingenuity. The zipper pouch must be made using a zipper-type freezer bag originally intended for food. The zipper can be with or without the plastic "shoe". The freezer bag requirement is important because freezer bag plastic is substantial. This is swap is about experimenting with construction ideas and it may not go as planned, so we will use this low-cost material. Also, a freezer bag pouch should be slim enough and light enough to mail at the regular letter rate. The zipper pouch should have some decoration. Describe how you made your zipper pouch, and include notes about how you intend for your partner to insert the pouch into a planner/journal. THIS IS A PROFILE SWAP. You are NOT required to punch holes for partners with ring binders. Allow some space and some reinforcement like tape or paper in your pouch for the holes. The recipient will be responsible for punching the holes using one of their existing pages as a guide. Since everyone may have a different style and size of planner, we will have to be flexible. The point is to share different ideas and techniques for making your own zipper pouch. There may be issues with the pouches that you receive - they may not fit exactly right, since the maker didn't have your planner in front of them. Do not rate down if the pouch doesn't fit. And do not rate down if the decoration is not your style. This swap is about techniques for making zipper pouches, not about making an artistic statement. Please post any questions in the comments. I will tweak the swap requirements up until the swap date because I know it's confusing and I'm sure y'all will have some good suggestions for how to make this more clear. I won't significantly change any of the requirements, so don't be afraid to sign up! |
