This will be a fun swap.

What is Flat Sam. Well it is a paper doll of yourself :D What shall we do with this Flat Sam. Well I am Sam, and I have a Flat Sam and she would like to come and play at your house! However, in order for this to happen we need to do a Flat Exchange. Yes, it’s like a foreign exchange student, but in our case it will be a Flat Exchange lol.

1st- How do you make a Flat Person? I have the Paperkin Templates. I can email you a picture of the templates if you would like. However you can use any type of paper doll you like :D Just design the flat person to look like you :D You can take a picture for the face if you'd like.

2nd- Flat Sam, needs luggage. She has her little suitcase with her clothes, passport, license, passport ect. Mine is 8.5 x 11, made from card board, paper, and stickers. It is home made. Yours doesn't have to be handmade if you don't want. It is up to you. It just has to fit in a Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope.

3rd- A small journal so she can write about her wild adventures! You can write, draw, put photos, brochures, tickets...whatever you want. The size of journal is up to you. Remember we will be sending these journals. Please make sure it fits in to a Large Priority Envelope or smaller. It will be the price of the Priority Envelope. I found this information: Priority Mail® Flat Rate Envelope 12-1/2" x 9-1/2," unlimited weight.

In the journal please put the Flat Person's personal information: name, address, email, if found please return to......

Also, a copy of your Flat Person's Itinerary.

4- Your Flat Person's Itinerary, in this swap it is important to communicate and to be on time (as much as possible).

This is a circle swap. You will always send to the same person. At the very end you will receive your flat person and journal package, when the circle is completed. We only have 6 people, the flat people will be visiting 5 homes (the sixth visit would be actually home, so the swap is a little shorter than if we had a full 7 people swap, and 6 people to visit).

There should be more than enough time for our little flat people to get where they are going, 2 weeks should be plenty I am thinking. I know life happens, if there are any problems or issues, please communicate, we are crafty and can we can work through anything :D

Now that you have all that is needed...Journal, Luggage, Flat Person and Itinerary, need to make sure that it fits in your envelope.

As you can see from the Itinerary, each flat person should stay at everyone's house for at least 30 days, and has 15 days for mailing time (or extra play time, lay over lol).

When mailing your Flat Person Bundle (Person, Luggage and journal), please write a small letter (or bigger up to you) or a postcard to the owner of the flat person, like she/he is writing home. One additional thing and your are done, post a little comment on the owner's profile at Swapbot. We just want to make sure these little fellers don't get lost.

Beings that we are using Priority Mail Envelopes, there is no weight requirement. I will be filling the envelopes with misc. stuffs. I do love to get my money out of those envelopes. I am not sure what I will be sending, but I will definitely be putting in a paper copy of my trackerkin templates in to the envelopes, multiple copies to make sure everyone gets a copy. If this swap takes off, and I am not your partner, I will send you a copy of my templates separately, maybe with a copy of a Flat Sam :D

If this swap takes off we can make a spin off :D

So just a recap- Make a doll, journal; make sure it fits in a priority mail envelope. Get your swap partner email. Then send your flat person. Get a flat person in the mail. Have fun. Doll up the journal. Send out date, send flat person and journal to next partner on itinerary. Send postcard or letter home to flat person's parent. Comment on their profile it went postal.

**a few things I will be doing. Making my doll and journal before hand, so all I will have to do is write the ternary and send the package out. I like being a head if possible.

I will be stuffing 6 packages of goodies to my partners. Might as well get the weight out of mailing. It could weigh 2 tons and it is still the same price lol.

I know this swap is a little more expensive then what I usually do, but I thought it would be worth it:)

My first concern would be flakers, ohh I don't like that word but they are out there. If there is any problem what so ever, we can over come, it not to worry :D We have angels and it will be ok. Just say something. Where there is a will there is a way :D Trust me it will be ok :D
