++ i know swapping mixtapes is so typical, but i love tapes still (plus, i have a hard time making mixed cds because my dvd-rw hates me sob) ++ some requirements: 1/ it might be that blank cassettes are hard to come by now, so 60 or 90 min tapes are fine 2/ those little insert things/covers should be decorated (just to make it nicer to look at while listening to the tape) 3/ a tracklist of song titles and artists' names must be included ++ there is no theme, but it wouldn't be a bad idea ++ users with a 3+ rating are welcome, as are new users with no rating ++ you will make two tapes, keeping in mind that this is not exclusive to north america, and that shipping cassettes may cost just a bit more extra ++ if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to post a comment below ++ graphic borrowed from: http://www.modsuperstar.ca

Just thinking...how about we make the theme "High Fidelty"...like in the book/movie where Rob is making a mixed tape for a girl he just met and is trying to impress her? Just picture yourself doing that as you make your mix.

i am into no theme, so we can pick our own themes. i usually end up with a theme that comes upon me while making the tape. also...i usually don't include song titles if i don't know them. is that ok?

drewzel: oddly enough i watched high fidelity last night. i would love to make a lovely dovey theme, but i wasn't sure how it would fare with other people, so i left it open-ended.

Nah I didn't mean lovey dovey, I just meant put your most favourite songs on there - the ones you think are really cool! (The High Fidelty connection was that you make a mix tape for someone that's cool, they'll think you're cool by association. I didn't explain that very well the first time.) Mine will probably just end up being my favourite rockin' songs.

Can we agree on a 90min tape? In the last swap I only received a 60min tape, the music mix was so great though that I really wanted to hear more :-)

I love to mix tapes! Love most themes! I use high bias chrome tapes because, to me, they sound the best. Can't wait to get started! I'm looking forward to it! Rock On!
