OTN: Learn a New Stitch #1 - Cable Knit

I thought I would start a new series which will help us to either learn something new or to brush up on some skills. As I haven't yet learned to crochet, I will start these out with knitting stitches, but I have a beautiful book on learning to crochet so I hope to be able to add some crochet in too.

The first stitch/technique we are going to try is cable knit

For this swap, you will knit something which incorporates cable knitting. You are completely free to decide what you are going to knit for your partner. It may be something simple like a potholder which incorporates the stitch or you can be a bit more adventurous. I am not going to put any limits on what it is you can make, but it must contain cables in it somewhere.

I won't put any rating limitations as we are in the group but please don't flake. I will angel if necessary. Please feel free to ask any questions or to make any suggestions for future stitches.
