Write: Seed Ideas

This swap continues our series of "Write" swaps. They are all based on a great book that I found at the library. See below for author and other info if you'd like to purchase or find a copy.

The swap:

Below are three seed ideas. Pick one and write something based on it. Send a copy to two partners.

The seeds:

a) An old man sits rocking and talking to himself on the El …

b A little boy sees someone stealing a dollar bill from the collection plate as it’s being passed around…

c) A woman on a cell phone says, “There’s nothing anyone can do now. It’s over, done with. I’m leaving town tonight. …”

Remember, these are seed ideas, so if your piece deviates from the seed that’s fine. You're planting a seed that will grow into something; that something could be big or small. Just plant it and watch it grow!
