The swap idea was borrowed from agonysdecay here on swap-bot. I have used it several times and love it. These are super fun to make and super easy as well. Believe me, they are addicting especially if you are a stamp-a-holic. We will make master board pieces, and our theme is CHRISTMAS!!! Pull out those Christmas rubber stamps and create master boards for your partners. You can use these pieces for many different things, such as card making or scrap booking or even ATC backgrounds. First check out the links for reference only: Tutorial 1 http://blog.red-rubber-designs.com/2012/05/tutorial-tuesday-creating-stamped.html Tut 2 http://youtu.be/6bICS_wTi9w Tut 3 http://kardkrazy.blogspot.ca/2008/06/masterboard-tutorial.html Tut 4 http://www.stampington.com/shoppe/master_board.html You will need 8.5 x 11 piece of card stock good quality or something thicker. You will stamp your paper. Make sure to stamp all over your paper and don't worry about how it will look. Next you will cut it into FOUR equal pieces. Try to make each piece as equal as possible and please cut as neatly as possible. If you have a paper cutter use it. You'll be amazed at how neat they will turn out. Your card stock or other paper CAN be water colored or colored. It does not have to only be white, think outside the box or stay cozy in it. You MUST use THREE different stamps and THREE different colored inks. You can use more than three of each, but three is the minimum. ANY stamps and any colors as long as there is a minimum of three of each, for each 8.5x11 piece of paper. YOU WILL HAVE 2(TWO) Partners that you will send 8 pieces of master board to. Try to send a variety of pieces, not all the same design. Once you start, you'll find you want to keep going. You can send more than 8 pieces if you like. Master boards are to be senders choice, but our theme is CHRISTMAS. However, you should always check profiles and think about sending master boards that might cater to your partner's likes because they may be making cards with them. Example: does your partner NOT like religious material sent to them. Check it out, it may be there! FINALLY, be a good rubber stamper and do good rubber stamping. Use good fresh ink, make sure each stamp or at least the majority of them look good on paper, etc. No sloppy stamping! Questions? PM me or ask here in the discussion;) |
