Description:

Do you like creating mixed media art? Do you like to use recycled items for crafting? If so, then this swap is for you!

For this swap you will have 1 Swap-Bot Partner; and to this partner, you will send 1 piece of mixed media art! But wait, there's more!

Here are the rules for this swap:

You will create your art on a piece of light weight or heavy cardboard scrap. You can use cardboard from a box or the light weight cardboard from the back of a writing tablet/scratch pad. You can even use a cereal box!

You will then use any type/form of media you desire. This is Sender's Choice.

For example: you can use collage, paint, stamped images, tissue paper, gesso, gelatos, etc. You just have to create your art on the piece of cardboard.

The catch? This piece of art has to be less than a 6" X 9" size, but bigger than a 3" X 5". This piece of art must fit into a 6" X 9" envelope for mailing.

This swap is open to USA ONLY. Please send a little note inside stating what type of supplies/art products that you used to create this mixed media piece along with your name/username & Swap name. If your art piece has a name, include that as well!

Please do not rate down if you do not like the piece. Remember we all have different tastes in art. This is Sender's Choice!

That's it! If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please let me know. No flakers please. I can Angel if necessary but I hope I won't have to since the cardboard is pretty much free.

Happy Swapping!

Can we create a mixed media postcard sized piece of art, and them sent it naked through the mail instead of in an envie? Or should all art be sent in an envelope? This sounds fun!

Here is something I discovered just recently...You know the boxes you buy cards in? Like a box of assorted Christmas cards, for example? The bottom half hangs on the wall just like a small canvas (empty side facing wall, hanging on a nail). If the top half isn't see through plastic then that's a bonus! 2 for 1!

Once a mixed media artist is done, you would NEVER guess it was once a cardboard box. It looks just like a nice chunky canvas from an art supply store. It may even function better for fastening things to the front like brads, clock hands etc. More surface on the back exposed than just the 1 inch in the center of a "real" stretched canvas.

@trula please send it in an envelope so it does protect it from the mail. Thank you. That is another great idea for a postcard swap! A mixed media postcard would sound fun!
