This is a swap for the darkly inclined who want a long term pen pal. This swap is open internationally to everyone who enjoys the Gothic subculture, whether you're Goth at heart or full Victorian. ~~Please include in this swap~~ one letter about yourself- make it as personal as you'd like but please keep it nice- no inappropriate, religious, pornographic, or political content will be tolerated. We all have different backgrounds, so please be respectful. one pretty envelope-make it something you would like to receive *one small treat for your pen pal- it might be a blank post card, something you've drawn, a scrap of lace for a bookmark. Keep it inexpensive ($2 or less). Please be sure to include your return address either on or in the envelope. I'd like to see that you've completed at least one swap on Swapbot since I want this to be noob friendly. If you haven't but would like to participate, please message me, and I will consider it. Please have an updated and filled out profile. No ratings less than 4.5 will be considered. No flaking out on this. I will Angel if I have to since I want this to be fair, but if you plan on flaking, then please do not sign up.

By "no religious content" does that mean no gothic style crosses even if you check with the partner to see if that's okay? I know that some people (myself included) aren't interested in gothic crosses but's it's still a large part of gothic symbolism so I was wondering if it was allowed.

Oh, no! Crosses are fine! I was referring to things like religious tracts or materials used to convert/advertise a religion. Religious symbols like crosses should be fine, though. :) Just as long are you're not sending anything to try to convert your pen pal, you're good!

Would you be able to extend the deadline on this a couple days because partners are late? I want to take my time with the envelope and small gift, but don't want to start until I see who I'm paired with.

I'm so sorry guys! I'm finishing up a semester and this slipped my mind. I kept thinking swapbot would send me a reminder. Yes, I can extend this as long as we need to. How is 5 days? Again, I am very sorry about the delay.
