A Happy Parcel - International Version

For this swap you will be putting together a lovely little parcel for your partner. You MUST include:

One full sized chocolate bar.

A book or magazine (can be used).

A written notecard to your partner.

A €2.50/£2/$3 profile gift for your partner. This gift should be wrapped in pretty paper and tied with ribbon.

This is a profile based swap so make sure you read your partner's profile thoroughly and if you want to include anything else then go ahead. Just make sure you've covered everything on the list first!!

Newbies welcome. I will thoroughly check profiles before assigning partners! No 1s allowed and all participants should have a well filled profile. X

Ps I will angel this swap if necessary :)

I would otherwise join, but in my area the temperature is now so hot that chocolate would instantly melt. No swapper wants a Baggie of brown goo in her parcel!

soyprincesa2 06/17/2013 #

I would love to join too, but here in Nevada... any chocolate would be a melted mess by the time I have mailed it or received it.

RETIREDARTGAL 06/17/2013 #

Same problem here...my mail kiosk is out in the open several blocks from home and bakes in the sun all day! Perhaps chocolate should be a winter offering.

moonlightlaura 06/17/2013 #

Same here. The heat index has been well over a 100 these past several days on Louisiana. Also I wish it was USA only.

One of the perks of living in drizzly old England I guess! :)

stephhcie 06/25/2013 #

I agree with the rest about chocolate bars! It will be a melted mess when it arrives. :(

Nevermore 06/25/2013 #

also lives in England There'll be no problem with chocolate here! I have a question though (well, two actually) firstly, is a note card just a smaller version of a normal card, and two, can it be handmade as long as it's nice?

mirrymir 06/26/2013 #

Hi @Nevermore - a notecard in my mind is just a blank card. Good quality handmade is fine too :)

Veterok 06/26/2013 #

Good that the notecard thing got solved, I was gonna ask about it because I've seen Swap-Bot people go mental about it, it's supposed to be a folded card with a picture on the cover or something, or it's supposed to be a small car or it's supposed to be this and that, I don't know. To me, a notecard is a card with a note written on it.. I don't have chocolate issues either :D

Veterok 06/26/2013 #

(well, no, not a small "car", that would probably be too much to everyone)

mirrymir 06/27/2013 #

@Veterok thank you for your comment - it made me laugh! Hope you join this swap as I like swappers with a sense of humour :) It worries me that people might spend too long thinking about notecards - as far as I'm concerned in this swap everyone can feel free to send an enormous card or quite a little one if they prefer. As long as there is a friendly note inside.

It's a raging 16 degrees outside today - all the chocolate is quite safe at least! X

Nevermore 06/27/2013 #

Oh, also, how big is an "average sized" chocolate bar? I'm not sure if you mean a 100/120g one or one around 50g...

mirrymir 06/27/2013 #

@Nevermore at least 100g please. anything less is more of a 'treat size' one I would say. I would also say be as generous as possible. This is very much a swap for people that go the extra mile and enjoy giving :) there are minimum requirements obviously but once partners are assigned and you've read their profile you might find other ways to spoil your partner. Let's really try and make our partners happy!! X

kindledwhimsy 06/27/2013 #

I'm really looking forward to this swap! @ mirrymir, thanks for organizing it! :o)

mirrymir 06/28/2013 #

@kindledwhimsy thanks for your comment - I'm hoping it's going to be really fun :)

tanjch 06/28/2013 #

is it possible to send 2 chocolate bars that go over 100g - as i can only find a bar of chocolate that's that size (not a chocolate bar - they're all more around 50g)?

mirrymir 06/29/2013 #

@tanjch that would be absolutely fine :)
