Description:

You will send your partner a Zentangle of an Upper Case "V" on an ATC sized (2.5 inch x 3.5 inch) card stock or similar paper.

Using color on your tangle, a colored paper or color wash is optional. Use your creativeness and send something you would be happy to get. Please make sure you have a sturdy backing. Add the name of the swap, your name, swap name & date completed on the back of your card.

NOTE: All the patterns you use ** MUST** be Certified Zentangle Patterns. If you're unsure what these are, go to www.tanglepatterns.com or Flickr (search - Zentangle). I've seen some pretty awesome zentangle art on Pinterest too. Doodle art is very different than Zentangle art. Making these letters is a great way to learn new patterns.

We will go in order through the alphabet until the end - "Z" so you can work ahead if you wish.

The usual Swap-bot rules apply. Newbies are welcome as long as the swap requirements are fulfilled.

Flaking will NOT be tolerated and you must be in good standing. If you have any problems contact your swap partner and/or me. If you have questions about the swap, leave it in the comment section or pm me. If you flake on a letter you will be banned from future swaps. I cannot Angel but you can get the letter when we do the Make-Up Swaps.

JUST A HEADS UP....If you are just joining the Series, I host a "Make-Up" Letter Swap after every 4-5 letters so you'll have a chance to fill in letters you may have missed. The next Make-Up Swap will be posted soon.

Graphic is my creation from the last round ~ I think.

How do we know if the ones on flkr are certified?

Also, I saw some that were not 'certified' that work as well as the 'certified' ones, I know you are the host, but can't they be used also please?

I guess what I am trying to say, is the art is so popular now that the owner of the official site cannot keep up with all the great patterns out there.

Like I said, it is your swap and your rules, I am just hoping I can throw out a bit of some other means to get the patterns.

@fawnscrafts ........as long as the pattern has name and is in the Zentangle category, it's okay. Just no doodling. Doodling is much different. On the zentanglepattern.com site, there are names of other people who have founded patterns. Click on their names and you can see what is approved. Hope that answer helps.

I know that the difference is huge, yet so similar. I think the best way to describe the difference, is doodle is mindless, mainly. Tangles are not and they have patterns and repeats that take planning and effort.

I have seen some designs on the 'official' site that make me wonder and then seen others to afraid to contact her, because there perfectly good tangle, they feel is not good enough.

Maybe, what I can do, is do an envelope of doodling, which I drew several last night and then one with tangles, which I did a few months ago. The put them on my blog, so hosts can show the difference for any newbies to tangling.

Since my last name starts with a V, I especially want to do this swap.
