Description:

Hello Everyone! This will be a series of swaps covering the seven major chakras or vital energy centers in the human body. Each chakra has its own symbol, healing color and sound, and controls the energy for specific organs in the body, and different areas of life. We will be starting with the 1st/Root Chakra and will finish with the 7th/Crown Chakra.

Each participant will have one partner and will create 2 ATCs (3-1/2" x 2-1/2") for their partner. One ATC is to be a representation of the symbol of the chakra and the other is to represent what life looks like when the Chakra is clear and functioning well. You can use whatever media you choose for the ATCs: drawn, painted, collage, mixed media, your choice. Just make it your best possible artistic work. As I'm sure you already know, this is not a sticker swap.

The Root Chakra is symbolized by a 4 petal red lotus and relates to stability, grounding, physical health, and prosperity. It is about being physically present and feeling at home in situations. If the chakra is open, you feel grounded, stable and secure. You feel present in the here and now and connected to your physical body.

There is a wealth of information on chakras, both in book form and over the internet. Please feel free to do your own research to further develop your connection with the subject and more fully express your artistic selves for this swap. Most of all, enjoy the process!
