I'm not sure who made the items in the picture I posted, but I thought they were just perfect for this swap! I've enjoyed making ATCs for a little while now, but just recently discovered the joy of Inchies. This swap combines both! You will make one ATC for your partner. An ATC is an Artist Trading Card that must be 2.5 x 3.5". For additional tips, see my post in the Open Forums. There's a link on my profile. Along with the ATC, make three different Inchies in the same theme or style of your ATC. Inchies are tiny works of art that are 1" square. I have some pics of mine on my Flickr if you would like some ideas. It should go without saying, but I'll say it: tiny art is still art. That means a sticker or cut out on card stock is not art. Use some other techniques such as layering, painting, drawing or embellishing to create something that is unique to you and your style. You can use a sticker or cutout as long as you combine other techniques to make it one of a kind. If you are new to ATCs and/or Inchies, don't be afraid to try something new. However, they are highly addictive. I only started these a year and a half ago, and I have amassed a collection that now fills 7 albums! Not sure how many - at least 500! I will angel, but shouldn't have to since this is a group swap. |
