For this swap we'll be Spring Cleaning our Stash. You'll look in your stash and send your partner the items you have that you won't be using. These items can include: beads including seeds, strands, cabs, charms, pendants and lampwork in all shapes stringing material including stretchy, tiger tail type products like beadalon and accuflex, leather lacing, wire, and bead thread (sewing thread and embroidery floss don't qualify here except as extras if your partner likes them) clasps, chains, earring posts, bails, jumprings and other findings tools (can be used if they are still in good working order and don't have defects) the reason for this is that sometimes we upgrade so we don't need our perfectly good originals. All items should be NEW, but if you have 10 crystals from that package of 50 it is okay to send them and they do not have to be in the original packaging. Vintage items are okay, but items that are broken, dirty, used (except tools), chipped, cracked, or have other defects are not acceptable and sending them will get you a 3. This swap is sender's choice since if you receive something you would not have purchased for yourself it might broaden your work. However, that does not mean to send all the junk you have. You should send only things you would be happy to receive in amounts you would be able to use. If you bought it and you don't like it because it looks cheap or the finish wears off quickly, PLEASE DO NOT send it to your partner. The minimum for seed beads is 1 teaspoon or a 12 inch strand of them. The value of the package you send to your partner should be as close to $10 (US) as you can get. This way if you get an international partner then at least you'll get a package that makes your postage cost worth while. No wood, no plastic, no seeds (from plants), no pony beads unless your partner specifically mentions below that it is okay to send them these things. SInce this is a sender's choice swap DO NOT list below items you do not want to receive. If you receive something you won't use, hold it to the side and swap with someone else going forward. I wish I didn't have to say this, but I expect everyone to send their items promptly. I'll remove anyone who flakes from the group and list them in the questionable swappers group. Then, I will angel the missing swap. |
