Description:

A white elephant is something you have that you don't need or want. It can be something gently used that you don't want/need anymore, a gift that doesn't quite suit you, things you bought and never wound up using, etc. White Elephant gift exchanges are a common fun activity at parties. They can be done either by drawing names, or drawing numbers and then choosing a wrapped gift at random.

For this swap you will send at least two white elephant items to your swap partner (you can send more but not less). The items must be new or in good used condition (not broken, torn, dirty, smelly, nearly used up, etc.), and if you can match to your partners likes and dislikes, all the better! The only rules are that they must be in good condition and they must be items you already have (not purchased for the swap).

This should go without saying, but I will ban anyone with a low rating. New swappers are welcome but due to a recent problem with non-senders I will also be banning anyone who doesn't have their profile filled out (unless they have a good rating).

Will participants be making a list of the types of things they like or DO NOT like or can not have due to allergies?

I would appreciate having an idea of what a person likes, if I sign up for this one. I understand that it would not be a requirement to send an item from the person's "like list" because it has to be something you already have.

Just a reminder, we did have two days of no postal service so packages might be delayed. When I was at the post office on Wed, it was packed with the line going out the door!

I am EXTREMELY sorry for the inconvenience, I have been having really bad computer problems and my internet has only been working a few minutes every day. I have been meaning to change my address for this swap & I JUST changed it. I don't know your swap name and you didn't include it with your package but I think it was for this swap because you mention going to your stash to find the items. I burst out laughing when I first saw the "white" gloves. I went to an all girls boarding school in the 60's and can remember taking the bus ride home in high heels, hat and of course our white gloves. Sure brought back the memories. How big is the curio cabinet? Just wondering if I should try to fit it into my van. Thanks for the goodies and esp. the memory check.

I think we need to check people\'s ratings before we let them in a swap. I have tryed very hard to send out my swaps. But there have been 6 swaps that I havent received anthing. I really don\'t have answer but I feel we need to do something. Let me know if I can help. Thanks Cathy Jewell
