Description:

This technique is using the leaves of a stalk of celery & acrylic paint to make a background for our ATC.

On craft paper squirt your darker color in the corner to allow plenty of work space for your cardstock. I used a full sheet of cardstock but you can do one ATC at a time with this technique. Now dip the leaves still on the stock in the acrylic paint. I stamped off on the craft paper first & then stamped on my card stock. But if you like the thinker paint, you can skip that part. Do this as often as you with till you recieve the desired look.

Now take a lighter color of acrylic paint & repeat the process. I just turned my celery over & used the back side of the leaf. Now let your piece of art dry before you make it into your masterpiece.

Two partners will each recieve one finished ATC. The sample is just the background.

You can make a cool pattern with the stalks too. Either a single stalk or slice the whole bottom off the entire plant and dip all the stalks while still bound together with an elastic. Makes a rose type pattern. Then cut off the paint part and eat the rest.

That sounds very cool. I will have to give that a try. Thank you for the idea.
