  • pc with an insect

  • pc with an arctic theme (polar bear, iceberg, penguin, etc.)

  • pc with a kawaii theme

  • pc with a state map

  • pc with beach or waves

  • pc featuring something beginning with the letter "C"

  • pc with some type of food

  • pc with the color yellow on it

  • pc you think is beautiful

  • pc with a fantasy character

  • vintage pc (actual vintage--not reproduction)

  • sender's choice

Along with the six unwritten postcards, you must include a note letting your partner know which category each postcard represents. You may send zazzle or etsy cards for this swap if you choose BUT please make certain image quality is excellent. I received some recently and they were AMAZING! Great quality and very interesting.

For this swap, only 2 touristy postcards will be allowed. This should not be an issue since zazzle and etsy cards are allowed.

Remember...you only have to come up with 6 of the 12, and one of those can be sender's choice!

Participants must have a 4.9 rating and been rated for 10 Type 2/Type 3 swaps. If you do NOT meet these requirements and still want to join, please message me. I will angel this swap if necessary

I love these swaps and am pretty disappointed that only 2 touristy pcs are allowed now. Many of the categories are touristy, and I don't think I have enough pcs in my collection to make up the difference. Oh well, maybe next round!

What are zazzle and ety cards?

isabellasnow 11/15/2012 #

@emilynhr ..I got complaints from more than one person that they were receiving ALL touristy postcards from THE SAME PLACE so I thought I'd go with 2 for this round. I think some folks might buy a bunch of pc's from their area and just make that "fit" the category. I will definitely change it up next round or create one of each.

@soyprincesa2 ...www.zazzle.com is an online place to buy postcards created by artists and others...LOTS of great selection...the same with etsy. I have gotten two AMAZING postcards from etsy....go to www.etsy.com and search for "mail a whale postcard" and see what comes up--they are AMAZING! I have both a humpback and a killer! Also, www.amazon.com is a fantastic place to pick up books of postcards for a penny (plus shipping, of course).

I travel a lot so I have pcs from different places, plus I reswap ones I receive in scavenger hunts but most of mine are still touristy. I'll have to sit this out. If it was reversed-that we could have 4 touristy and 2 non I could do that but paying about $2 per non-touristy card like I did on vacation this summer I can't part with 4 at once.

@isabellasnow am I correct in thinking that we may use Antarctic cards and not just Arctic ones? I happen to have some Antarctic postcards and since you mentioned penguins, which are only found in the Antarctic, I am inferring that you meant to be generally inclusive of themes involving either pole. Let me know if I am off base and thanks!

Oh yes, of course! I actually had no idea that penguins are only found in the Antarctic. Thanks for teaching me something new!
