For this international swap you'll have one partner. Create a journal of quotes that your partner will enjoy. One quote per page, with a minimum of 30 quotes.

Post below the topic(s) you're interested in, for example: friendship, love, thought-provoking quotes, humorous, a holiday, quotes by women, etc. Whatever you're interested in.

Your partner will find at least 30 quotes on your topic and will put them in a journal. The journal can be handmade or storebought (but please make sure the binding is secure so it won't fall apart with repeated reading/thumbing through). Use your partner's profile to guide you on the cover/color of the journal.

If you're super crafty or artistic and want to scrap or illustrate each page, feel free.

Players will need a 4.7 or higher and a completed profile to participate.

May I check whether you mean (1) fill a journal book with a quote filling each page or (2) decorate a blank journal book with quotes leaving the majority of each page to be journalled in later by the recipient? I'd prefer to join in the first rather than the second type of swap, so want to make sure I've understood correctly!

If so, my themes would include: nature, feline, friendship, inspirational/motivational, humourous, environmentally positive, pagan-style spiritual, and classically literary (e.g. Shakespeare, Milton, the Brontés, poems, plays or books, and not necessarily famous.) As long as overt politics and the nasty -ists are avoided then I'm open to anything else resonant, meaningful or moving :)

My themes:- sisterhood, children/parenthood, Gymnastics, Sci-fi (esp Stargate, Star Trek, Star Wars), Religion (Any faith), Political, Historical, Death, Shakespeare, Though-provaking, Ancient wisdom....please ask if these cause you any problems in finding quotes, I'll try to expand the list.

although, it really doesn't matter to me. i LOVE collecting quotes. as long as it's not bible related and age appropriate to me (ex: i'm 18, so no motherhood quotes) i would really enjoy it! i have a journal of my own filled up with hundreds of quotes, hopefully through this swap, i can find some more!

Glad to have found this swap before it closed :0) I would enjoy any sort of quotes - but I tend to lean toward the inspirational/spiritual ones.

I agree with txnoumena - send me what you like and are inspired by - i may learn something as well!

My theme is Leadership. I am currently working with the USMC (United States Marine Corps) and a leader (CO) . So anything about good leadership and motivating troops would be OUTSTANDING.

If you want to make me a Tolkien journal that would be awesome beyond words (and yes, the films are fair game). But let's face it, most people aren't that dorky. Poetry, darkness/light-in-darkness, love, faeries/fantasy quotes are good. I don't object to the Bible as literature but if you want to go there, nothing New Testament.

Mine's winging its way to Goddessamy in Australia today. It was more of a challenge not to decorate it with anything that contravenes their customs laws than to fill it with quotes!
