Description: | |
Acorns are one of my favorite things. They hold such promise. "Mighty oaks from little acorns grow.", as the proverb says. Native Americans made a type of flour and 'mush' from them. For this swap you will be making or decorating an envelope in an acorn theme. It doesn't have to be just acorns exclusively, but an acorn or acorns must figure prominently in the artful envelope. You can use a regular envelope and "art it up", or construct some kind of unusual envelope like in the photo. The one in the photo is 'in progress', not completely finished. It was made using layers of newpaper and some acrylics. Simple or complicated it is up to you. Let your imagination and creativity be your guide. Inside the envelope put something autumnal you think your partner will like. It doesn't have to be profile based, but it would be nice to check your partner's profile anyway for likes and dislikes. Some ideas include, but are not limited to fall colored ribbon, ATC, Fall post-its, a paper pieced acorn, a bookmark, stickers, inchies, a card and letter or poem or zine about Fall or any Autumn subject,...um....anything at all. As long as the mail art envelope is acorn themed and there is something autumnal themed or colored inside, it meets the swap criteria. But please make this a great little swap experience for your partner. You can start your envelope now, since this is not a profile based swap. This is an international swap, so keep in mind any mailing regulations as to what can be sent into a country. Feel free to ask questions or point out anything that needs revision in my description. |
