Open to: All - Newbies welcome

What to send: You will have three partners, and will send each of them (via snail mail, not email) a story about you and your crafting. Maybe you knit on the bus and had a long conversation about it one day about with an elderly lady sitting nearby. Maybe you hand-stitched a quilt for your sister's wedding. Maybe you sew your children's clothes, or make your own jewelry, or sell your polymer clay creatures online. The story can be funny or touching, thought-provoking or light-hearted, as long as it's about you and your craft of choice. Try to focus on one instance or story, and include as many details as possible. Add in everything you can remember about the old woman on the bus, or what it felt like to make your first sale from your etsy shop. Tell your partner about the person you were at the time--how old you were, what your job was, where you lived. Make the story at least a page long (hand-written or typed, your choice) and put some effort into it. As with all swaps, make it something you would like to receive yourself.

To recap:

*One page, typed or written and sent through the postal service

*One incident/story about your crafting

*Send to three partners (you can write a different story for each of them, or send them all the same one)

*Please use language everyone would find acceptable. If you wouldn't say it in front of your grandmother, don't put it in your story.

Rating:

*If you receive a story at least one page long about your partner and their craft, rate them a 5.

*If your partner tucks a little something extra in the envelope like stickers, paper scraps, ribbons, etc, do think about giving them a heart, especially if it's something personal from your profile.

Since this is very simple and will only cost the price of a stamp, this swap is international and open to anyone with any rating (or lack thereof). I do reserve the right to ban anyone I think is questionable or has a bad reputation, though. If you are utterly flaked on, let me know and I'll do all I can to angel for you. Everyone should receive three stories.

You don't have to wait for your partner assignments to start writing your stories. This is all about you and your craft, not your partner.

If you have any questions or need clarification, please leave a comment below or PM me. And have fun!
