This is a rerun of a swap I ran a few years ago in another group, but it was so fun, I want to do it again. And I am adding a twist to encourage lots of group participation. If you complete the swap, your name will be entered into a drawing, and I will draw two people's names. Those people will each receive FIVE! Yes FIVE dolls made by me to include my gussied up mermaids, digi image dolls, and original designs by me. My choice of course, but I guarantee you will not be disappointed! I loved the doll I received from my partner @redsockz She personalized my clothing and accessories, and yes, it really does reflect who I am. AND, here is the important part, YOU MUST SEND YOUR PARTNER A PHOTO OF YOUR FACE TO USE FOR THE DOLL'S FACE!!! Okay, done shouting, but it is important that you understand how this swap works because you must get the photo of yourself to your partner in a fast manner as soon as the swaps are assigned. One good option to use would be if your partner says they can print a photo of you from their computer, you could email it or even put it on Flikr. Now for the sizes and other happy crap. The face pics should be about a wallet size photo or one that the head and neck are about 3-1/2 inches high by 2-1/4 inches wide. The doll head template posted has a head size of 3-1/2 inches tall (includes neck) by about 2-1/4 inches wide. That would enable the user to make a pretty decent -sized 13 inch tall doll. You don't want it to be too small. Then, either create a doll body of your own choice to mount the face on, or go to this is the doll template I made and use this doll body. NOTE You must save the image for the doll template and open it in photo editing or document software for it to print full size. It is made to print on one sheet of 8-1/2 X 11 paper, but if you print it directly from your browser, it will print very small. The whole thing should be on tagboard or thin chipboard to be fairly substantial. Finally, junk it up. And I mean make this doll fit for a - well - a Queen! Fancy, regal fabric or paper. Diva stuff, ya know? A crown and or a scepter would be nice. Gems, jewels, and bling, too. Anything that would make your swap partner feel Queenly. Go Forth, peons! Sign up for this swap and be transformed by your Queenly regalia. Yeah. You. Sign up now. You know you need it. |
