Description:

Mail Art is a Verb will be a series of ongoing mail art swaps. The upcycled envelope is swap number one in this series.
NOTE - size change - smallest envelope must be 3.5" x 5" for US regulations, 3.6" x 5.6" for canada - Please all swappers place the envelope size requirements for your country in the comments.
You will send two upcycled envelopes to one partner. One will be your mailing envelope and the other should be another envelope created in the same way for your partner to use. They do not need to be duplicates but they can be, it's up to you.

Envelopes should be at least 80% upcycled (recycled) materials they can bet decorated however you want but they must include some form of decoration on top of the upcycled base. Simply folding a magazine page into an envelope shape does not meet the requirements of this swap. We are trying to make mail art.

Inner envelope can be no smaller than 3.6"x5.6" outer envelope can be any size you want to fit the inner envelope unfolded. You can put whatever else you like inside the envelope for your partner but it is not required to meet swap requirements.

You already had to have a rating of 4.9+ with no recent no-sends, 1s or 3s to join this group anyway, so the same stands for this swap. But I will still double-check before assigning partners, so if you have what you feel is an unfair comment or rating, just PM me & we can try to work it out.

Please communicate with your partner and/or myself if you run into any problems that might cause you to send late. I will angel if needs be but please do not commit to this swap if you think you can not complete it on time.

This swap is not profile based it is purely senders choice.

In the USA, the smallest size envelope that can be sent through the postal system is 3.5" x 5". The inner envelope for your partner's use for this swap is at least 3"x5". It can be bigger of course but if it is less than 3.5"x5", the swappers in the USA cannot use it for sending through the postal system.

Thanks Amy - I took that from another swap I was in I'll make the adjustment and make sure everyone knows!

In Canada we can't use envelopes smaller than 5.6" by 3.6" ... I think the easiest solution is to just ask your partner about their postal rules!

@eudoxia - wow really? Ok I'm going to ask everyone to post their postal rules in the comments.
