It's always lovely to get mail, and pen pal letters are a delight to read. There are dozens of Pen pal swaps going on at any one time, so how about we shake it up? How about swapping some creative writing? A short story? A snippet of what you are working on? Something completely different? This is for those of you who love to write. People who love to imagine. Who love to read. Creative writing is what we'll be swapping! In this swap, you'd send your partner something you have written creatively. The minimum you'd be writing is about 1 side of A4, but if you can't curb your enthusiasm then feel free to do more. As for whether you should handwrite or type your piece, I'm not going to make a rule. What I will say is that - as with any swap - make it something you'd want to receive; if you're going to type it, then maybe go to an effort to use a nice font and decorate the page. Maybe you could add pictures or something else to jazz it up. You can add a note card or a letter in with your writing to give some context of what you were thinking or what your muse was for this piece of writing, but it's not obligatory. Now for the technical stuff. When you receive your partner's writing, please remember that it is their own work. They've taken the time and put in the trust to give you that work. As someone who writes I know that it can sometimes be difficult to share work for fear of being not good enough, so please consider your partner's feelings. The minimum rating requirement is 4.5 with no unexplained 1's or 3's. Newbies are allowed, but they must have a well filled out profile and it helps if you have some websites to be referred to to show you are reliable. You'll have one partner and send one piece of creative writing to that partner. As with any swap, it's likely that you won't be sending to the person who is sending to you. Here are some ideas of what 'Creative writing' entails (you aren't limited to these things, but if you're not sure, ask me):
Basically, anything which is descriptive and creative writing, and will be enjoyable to read! Feel free to message me with questions or suggestions of things I could add to this list! So overall description of this swap:
I am willing to angel this swap but I shouldn't have to. I will also check every single profile and will ban suspicious participants. Your partner should receive a 5 from you if they sent you a side of A4 of descriptive writing. As long as it is not nonsense and forms a kind of story or descriptive path, then it's suitable. Please be kind with your ratings, we're all friends here! |
