You buy 2 average size Christmas stockings. One is filled with all dog toys, chews, etc for your partners dog. The 2nd stocking is filled for the human with canine items like writing paper, pens, stickers, etc.

So 2, stockings - one filled for the canine and other for their human.

Human stockings should have a dog theme. Also, send a note about your canine's and photos if you like. U can put non-dog items in too for humans, as it may be hard.

Any trouble, paw prints are ok.

Be creative.

This was a hit years ago and hopefully will be now. Check to see if canines have any likes or dislikes.

Items dont need to be wrapped, just stick inside stocking

This sounds like an awesome swap. I have 2 dogs and would love to join. I am watching for now so I can make sure I will be able to complete it.

@cerenaleigh this time of year you can sometimes get stocking at thrift stores.

I have 2 husky's and they love toys and such the only thing is they can't have small plastic squeak toys or stuffed toys they just eat them. Kong, rope toys, and baseballs are the only things they don't eat up.

Do the contents of our human partner's stockingneed to be breed-specific to their dog, or can it be anything as long as it follows the dog/paw-print guidelines? Thanks.

My dog, Moose, is a 5 year standard size long hair dachshund. He likes to play with toys (squeaky ones especially, small tennis balls, etc.), and he likes chewy (soft) dog treats better than cookies but he will eat both. As far as I know he has no allergies.
